Looking for a therapy that's the right fit?

Whether you're looking for therapy for yourself, your child, or someone you support, finding the right approach matters.

Explore who we work with, what we can help with, and what to expect from therapy.

Children

When children don't yet have the words to explain how they're feeling, they often communicate through behaviour, play and creativity.

Is this right for my child?

Art therapy may be helpful if your child is experiencing:

• Trauma or difficult life experiences (family violence, sexual assault, foster care)

• Anxiety or worries

• Big emotions or emotional outbursts

• Behavioural changes

• School refusal or school anxiety

• Friendship difficulties

• ADHD or Autism (ASD)

• Separation anxiety

• Selective mutism

• Low confidence or self-esteem

What do sessions look like?

Every child is different, and sessions are tailored to their age, interests and needs.

Depending on your child, therapy may include:

  • Drawing and painting

  • Play-based activities

  • Creative storytelling

  • Clay and sensory materials

  • Books and visual resources

  • Gentle conversation

No artistic ability is required—creativity simply becomes another way to communicate.

Parent involvement

Parents are an important part of therapy. Depending on your child's age and needs, this may include:

• Initial parent session

• Collaborative goal setting

• Regular review sessions

• Home strategies

• Resources to support progress between sessions
