Our Therapist
Vicki Soar is the founder of Soar Art Therapy and a registered art psychotherapist in both England and Australia. A passionate advocate for the transformative power of art, Vicki works with children (ages 4+), teenagers, and adults, using a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach to support a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.
With a deep understanding of how art-making can reintegrate trauma, regulate the nervous system, and rewire the brain through neuroplasticity, Vicki offers a therapeutic experience that is both creative and compassionate. Her work empowers clients to explore, express, and move toward their wellbeing goals in a safe and meaningful way.
At Soar Art Therapy, Vicki is committed to delivering the highest quality care—helping individuals and families build resilience, reconnect with themselves, and thrive.
Vicki is a full professional member of ANZACATA and the Australian Counsellors Association (level 4). She also has further training in Synergetic Play Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.
What is Art Therapy?
Art therapy allows clients to explore their emotions through visual media in a safe, supportive, empowering environment. Art therapy is about the process and journey of art making rather than the end product, and no previous art experience is required. Sessions are client-centred, with a trauma-informed approach bringing in elements of neuroscience research and psychodynamic theory.
